One of the Cottonwood community gardeners describes the common areas where our Asian Pear Trees grow.
Transcript:
This is an Asian Pear tree. There’s another one, down at the other end there. They have different fruit. This one, the fruit ripens first.
The top half is an area that I look after. Now it’s a perennial common area, and I think it’s one of my most successful common areas. because I like the combination of plants. You can see here in the spring, it’s mostly white and blue.
During the year, there’ll be other things that’ll come and bloom, all through the season. And it always needs a little tweaking. Some of the perennials get too big and have to be sized down.
We don’t really have an orchard per se. We’ve got fruit trees in different areas.
