The St. Nicholas Church is one of the four churches in Rostock’s inner city community. It is one of the oldest surviving hall churches in the Baltic region. The imposing brick building is open for church and other cultural use and is mostly used as a venue for concerts, exhibitions and theatre performances. The three residential storeys in the Gothic hall roof are a curious sight.
