We provide this audio guide free of charge.
We would appreciate a small donation for the following projects in and around Cologne:

Thank you!

The audio tour through Cologne aims to transform the fascinating history of the cathedral city into an experience at more than 30 historical locations and thus inspire you.
Come along on a true adventure with moving and exciting stories about the 2,000-year history of the cathedral city of Cologne.
With our audio guide, we’ll tell you a wealth of interesting and informative information about Cologne’s history at historical sites and sights.
Some of it will already seem familiar, while others will surprise you.
So follow the exciting facts as well as anecdotes, legends, and myths of this city on the Rhine, “packed” with history.
We’ll always guide you on the right and fascinating path during our journey through Cologne’s history. Only you set the pace.
You can pause the audio tour at any time, for example, to enjoy a leisurely meal in a great restaurant or a relaxing coffee in a café.
Please allow approximately four hours if you stroll through our city with our audio guide without any long breaks.
Once you reach a sight, you’ll immediately hear the voice and explanations of your audio guide thanks to automatic GPS recognition. In the “included” description text, we often link to interesting articles, videos, and podcasts about the sight or attraction.

A lot of construction is currently underway in Cologne to make the city’s exciting history even more tangible; Cologne will definitely be even more beautiful afterwards…

We therefore ask for your understanding if one or two paths lead past construction sites.

Have fun and let’s go to Station 1, the Roman Tower!

Unfortunately, it can sometimes happen that the description text isn’t expandable. “Guidemate” assured us that this problem will be resolved as soon as possible. As a workaround, you should then access the audio guide via “Guidemate.de” via your browser, rather than via the Guidemate app. Unfortunately, this option doesn’t allow access to the pre-downloaded offline version. We hope and expect that “Guidemate” will resolve the issue shortly.
