Iceland - Snæfellsnes Peninsula - Daytour
directions_car
The Snæfellsnes Peninsula is perfect for a day trip (12 - 14 hours) from Reykjavik. Often referred to as “Iceland in miniature” because of its diverse landscapes, the tour first takes you along the Ring Road to Borgarnes. From there, it continues to the north side of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
If you’re looking for something special, don’t miss the Viking Sushi boat tour from Stykkishólmur—however, it should be booked in advance.
A unique adventure is a visit to the Shark Museum, where you can taste Icelandic fermented shark.
The day tour includes various other stops around the western tip of the peninsula before heading back to Reykjavik along familiar routes.
The tour can also be done as a two-day trip with an overnight stay, for example, in Grundarfjörður.
