Iceland - Southcoast - Daytour
directions_car
The south coast of Iceland - one of the most popular day trips from Reykjavik. The ring road takes you to the southern tip of Iceland to Vik and back to the capital. Numerous waterfalls such as Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, the spectacular coast around Cape Dyrhólaey with its black beaches as well as glaciers and various museums make the tour a real highlight among day trips.
We have divided the sights over the outward journey and the return journey - the pure travel time for the one-way route is around two and a half hours and of course you shouldn’t just drive to Reykjavik on the return journey without seeing anything.
As a supplement, we suggest another day tour for summer trips. From Reykjavik you can drive to Hveragerði and hike to Reykjadalur. There you can bathe in a hot stream. The adventure “Inside the Volcano” is available before or after, but it must be booked in advance.
